Fatal Stabbing 'Not An Act Of Violence' In Frederick, Police Say

A stabbing suspect is at large after a man was found with traumatic wounds in Frederick County, police say.

Shortly before 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17, a death investigation was launched when a man was found stabbed in the parking lot outside of an area business on North McCain Drive in Frederick.

When officers arrived at the scene of the reported assault, they found a man with severe injuries consistent with a stabbing. 

He was rushed by paramedics to an area hospital, where he later died, according to officials.

No additional information about the victim has been released as of Friday, May 19.

Police say that the preliminary investigation determined that the incident is isolated and it was not a random act of violence.

The investigation into the fatal stabbing is ongoing.
